How to use Amy

Amy is an AI tutor that teaches instead of just answering. Here is everything she can do, and where to find it.

  1. Ask anything, in your own words

Open Chat with Amy and type a doubt, a topic or a homework question. Amy teaches in short steps and checks you understood before moving on. Snap a photo of a question with the camera button.

Tip: Try: "Explain photosynthesis for class 8 and quiz me after."

  2. Learn a course, one lesson at a time

In Courses, pick one that fits your class and board and start a lesson. Amy teaches it in sections, asks a quick check question after each, and gives a 7-question quiz at the end. Pass it and the lesson is done.

  3. Use the whiteboard beside the chat

Diagrams, equations, tables and mind maps appear on the board. A mind map shows the big picture of a topic: open a branch to see its points, or tap Ask Amy on a branch and she teaches that part.

Tip: Ask for one: "Make a mind map of the water cycle."

  4. Practise with games

Games has a 60-second Concept Sprint, Match-up, and Spot Amy's Mistake, where she solves a problem with one wrong step for you to find. Everything you get wrong comes back in Revision.

  5. Revise before you forget

Revision brings back the questions you missed, the next day and again later, until they stick. A few minutes a day is enough.

  6. Talk to Amy

Tap the phone button to have a voice call with Amy. Speak your question; she answers out loud and draws on the board while she explains.

  7. Make Amy yours

In Settings, set your board and class so lessons are pitched right, and choose whether Amy replies in English, Hindi or Hinglish. Every past chat is in Chat history.

Free during early access. No card needed.
